We are currently recruiting for an experienced candidate for the following positions of Regional Sales Manager of Canada-Eastern Region and Regional Sales Manager of Canada- Western Region. The person in this position will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities, sale strategies and business goals, with the aim of strengthening TESCAN’s position and perception in the market of either the Western Region or the Eastern Region. 

In this position, you will

  • Research and develop regional markets, creating target customer lists and prospecting for new leads. 
  • Educate prospects on the advantages of the TESCAN product portfolio. 
  • Develop and implement local sales strategies to achieve bookings, revenue, and business goals. 
  • Maintain an accurate CRM database and handle quarterly booking forecasts for the assigned region. 
  • Provide detailed quotations and ensure appropriate configurations for closing orders. 
  • Coordinate system demonstrations in collaboration with senior scientists and product marketing managers. 
  • Understand prospects’ needs, technical requirements, and budget constraints for strategic actions. 
  • Oversee the sales booking process to efficiently close orders. 
  • Participate in local events, including product workshops, trade shows, user meetings, and customer presentations. 
  • Manage customer relationships and collaborate with other company groups (Service, Applications, Marketing, Accounting) for high customer satisfaction. 
  • Cultivate relationships with third-party suppliers to enhance system sales. 

An ideal candidate will have

  • Technical or Scientific degree, Business Administration, Management, or Five years of relative technical sales experience. Electron microscopy or micro-CT experience preferred 
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentations  
  • Highly developed skills for beginning to end of sale extending over long periods of time 
  • Strategical selling understanding and ability to handle technically complex projects  
  • Capacity to keep abreast of technology trends and how they apply to TESCAN products 
  • Must possess a high degree of information gathering and listening skills, diplomacy, judgment, and the ability to deal with and influence people in all types of positions
  • Highly motivated, ability to manage multiple tasks and strong work ethic
  • Capability to work independently, be a self starter and perform with high levels of motivation 
  • Frequent travel required
