We are looking for a Senior Framework Architect for a customer application to join a friendly development team of 7 software engineers here in Brno and 7 more in the US for our new TEM product TENSOR.
The position is suitable for experienced developers who have experience with multiple programming languages and web technologies behind them.
Your responsibilities
As an Architect, you will take care of the top layer software where customer application is running. We are trying to make it as user-friendly as possible so the end user can work with the microscope more effectively. And what will be your part of the work?
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, deploying and maintaining a client/server application for running scientific applications on an electron microscope.
- You will cooperate with other SW Engineers and Applications Engineers (in Brno and in the US) and support them.
- We work in Windows OS, so it is important that you are ok with that.
- Even though you will be a part of a team, the job is quite independent, therefore we need an experienced person. But don’t worry, we have senior colleagues who can give you a hand.
What we expect
- The application is written mostly in C#. Other programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Python – Yes, we use many programming languages. We don’t expect you will know all of them in detail, however it is good to have an overview at least.
- Most critical for this role are React and HTML, we are also using: Microsoft .NET, Node.js, gRPC, Socket/WebSocket, HDF5, JSON, SQL.
- Experience with object-oriented design and implementation, client/server design and implementation, asynchronous programming, web development.
- Willingness to travel to our US-based entity (Tempe) for initial training for approx. 3-6 months.
- Languages: English (at least B2 and not afraid to talk) and preferably Czech (at least B2).
