We are currently recruiting for an experienced candidate for the position of Field Service Engineer for TEM. The person in this position will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of Tescan TENSOR at our customers. The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the peak performance and reliability of our electron microscopy systems, thereby facilitating companies, researchers and scientists across diverse industries in their exploration of the micro and nano-scale domains.

What awaits you at TESCAN?
At the beginning you will undergo professional technical training in Brno. You will get acquainted with the electron microscope, learn how to bring it to life and operate it. You will gain a wide range of technical knowledge.
You will then start to provide independent support to TESCAN customers. Customers can be located in all parts of the world, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys experiencing different cultures, likes traveling and doesn´t mind staying abroad for several weeks or longer.
What does that mean?
When the customer receives the new instrument, your job will be to install the microscope, demonstrate it and train the customer.
Customers will contact you when they find a technical malfunction or need technical support with specific questions, and you will solve their problems either remotely or in person during a service intervention.
You will identify defective parts and problems based on information provided by customers.
Profile of the candidate:
Must have:
- A university degree in electrical, mechanical or physical engineering is the foundation on which we can help you build further
- You are strongly technically oriented and manually skilled
- Due to the international overlap of this position, you need to be able to communicate with the customer in English, both verbally and in writing
- Valid driving licence and authorization to work on electrical equipment – may be currently invalid, we can arrange training
- A proactive approach to problem solving, reliability, responsibility and independence
- Willingness to travel frequently and independently abroad after training
- Candidate must be willing to spend up to 70 % of his/her time on service trips abroad
Nice to have:
- Experience in a similar position can be an advantage, but we are also open to graduates if they are interested and willing to work and learn
- Experience working with transmission electron microscope
- Familiarity with scanning methods, have an idea of working with vacuum technology
- Experience in a similar position
