We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our company’s worldwide supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure efficient procurement, production, distribution, and inventory management across multiple regions. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and contribute to the company’s overall success.
In this position, you will have the following responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency enhancement.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts. Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring reliability, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Inventory Optimization: Manage global inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demand. Utilize data analysis and forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Logistics and Distribution: Streamline global distribution processes, including transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers while maintaining excellent service levels.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity. Anticipate disruptions and implement contingency plans to minimize their impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align supply chain strategies with business goals. Foster a culture of collaboration and information sharing.
- Performance Measurement: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance. Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Talent Development: Lead and mentor a diverse global supply chain team, fostering professional growth and continuous learning. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
An ideal candidate will have
- Master ´s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant experience in a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in global supply chain management, with a track record of success in optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of procurement, production, distribution, and inventory management processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and handle complex challenges.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and international trade regulations.
- Language skills: English B2 or higher, Czech is advantage
- Willingness to travel (up to 50% of time) and possession of a valid passport and driving license.
