Service Logistics Planner

We are currently recruiting for an experience candidate for the position of Service Logistics Planner. This person will be responsible for planning inventory orders, set production requirements for service and inventory control and revisions based on the current situation.

In this position, you will

  • Manage the availability of spare parts during the life cycle of TESCAN equipment.
    • Plan minimum ordering levels for regular replenishment of inventory.
    • Set requirements for purchasing and production based on the daily requirements of service organizations.
    • Perform inventory control and revisions based on change control information, including divestiture and disposal of excess inventory.
    • Plan future inventories to cover current and future installed base of TESCAN equipment.
  • Optimize service inventory levels.
    • Monitor set KPIs and designs and implements measures to achieve them.
  • Proactively reduce the overall cost of spare parts with a view to their efficient use.
  • Participate in creating and optimizing the material delivery process to ensure materials are delivered properly on time.
    • Participate in establishing and overseeing compliance with the process for returning parts from Field Service Organizations.
    • Control the timely delivery of ordered inventory.
    • Evaluate material problems/ shortages, resolves delayed and unfulfillable orders and implements corrective actions and informs his/her supervisor of potential material problems.
    • Sets priorities for Service and repair parts to efficiently meet current needs and communicates these priorities to those responsible for planning, production and purchasing.
    • Work with the Quality Department and Technical Support Group to eliminate the causes of sending parts that cannot be used after delivery or are returned by the supplier as defective. This includes providing feedback and assistance to identify these causes.

An ideal candidate will have

  • Previous extensive experience with similar position
  • Excellent skills related SW packages, e.g. Excel, MS Office, ERP system
  • Analytical / systematic, practical approach
  • Flexibility to work in/with different cultures
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 10% of working time)
  • Good communicative skills (reporting, interpersonal)
  • Strong Czech and English language skills (verbal and in writing)
  • Excellent stress management
  • Orientation to delivering results
